Santa Barbara mayoral race features six candidates

The Santa Barbara mayoral race has become a competitive six-way contest for the November 3 ballot. Candidates include current council members Eric Friedman and Kristen Sneddon, alongside Wendy Sims-Moten, Mark G. Redmond, David Matthew Kilrain, and Michael Stilwell. The seat is currently held by Randy Rowse.

In addition to the mayoral race, several city council contests are scheduled. Four candidates have filed for the District 4 seat, three for District 5, and three for District 6. In Santa Maria, three city council seats are up for election, including a race for District 1 to complete a term following a resignation.
