Santa Catarina begins R$ 13 million bridge construction
Construction has begun on a R$ 13 million bridge project in northern Santa Catarina designed to connect the municipalities of Jaraguá do Sul and Schroeder. The structure will span 140 meters in length and 17 meters in width over the Rio Itapocuzinho.
The project aims to improve regional mobility and alleviate traffic on currently overloaded routes by providing a direct link between Vila Chartes in Jaraguá do Sul and Avenida dos Imigrantes in Schroeder. The total investment is estimated at R$ 13,115,870.58, with the Government of Santa Catarina contributing R$ 11,795,530.78 toward the cost. The construction is expected to be completed by April 30, 2027.
