Santa Catarina hosts academic and technical summits

Various academic and technical events are scheduled across the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

The Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) will host the 2026 Internationalization Research Summit (InteRSummit) from November 4 to 11. The summit focuses on academic cooperation, multicultural competencies, and English as a medium of instruction. The program includes the Symposium of Academic Exchange (SAE), which allows students to present research in additional languages.

In Caçador, the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina (IFSC) will hold its 12th Seminar on Teaching, Research, Extension, and Innovation (Sepei 2026) from August 27 to 29. The event features over 400 student works and includes activities such as a robotics tournament, a programming marathon, and a startup journey.

Additionally, the 2nd Fraiburgo Technical Tour will take place on August 21, bringing together producers and specialists to discuss innovations in fruticulture. The event includes technical lectures on modern pomology and field visits to plum and apple orchards to observe practical applications of new technologies.
