Minas Gerais opens 2027 school enrollment via SUCEM

Registration for the 2027 school year has commenced in Minas Gerais through the Unified System for School Registration and Placement (SUCEM). The process is open until November 13, 2026, and is intended for students seeking to enter the public school system, transfer between schools, or return to their studies.

The registration is free and must be completed online via the official SUCEM portal. It covers various levels, including Elementary School, High School, and Professional Education courses. For children entering the first year of Elementary School, they must be six years old by March 31, 2027.

Local municipalities, including Araxá, Divinópolis, João Monlevade, and Pará de Minas, are participating in the process. While the system is primarily digital, students without internet access can seek assistance at participating municipal or state schools. The results for student placement are expected to be released on December 15, 2026, after which families must confirm enrollment within specific deadlines set by the respective educational networks.
