Santa Caterina del Sasso launches autumn visitor program

The Santa Caterina del Sasso hermitage on Lake Maggiore has introduced 'I mercoledì dell’Eremo' (The Wednesdays of the Hermitage), an initiative designed to offer a slower-paced experience during the autumn season. Managed by Archeologistics on behalf of the Province of Varese, the program combines local gastronomy with guided historical and spiritual tours.

Participants can enjoy seasonal menus featuring local products at the Locanda Ristoro dell’Eremo before embarking on guided tours in Italian. The initiative provides an opportunity to explore the monumental complex in a quieter atmosphere compared to the busy summer months.

Additionally, the visits offer insights into the upcoming museum redesign project supported by the Varese Cultura 2030 initiative, with construction expected to begin in the coming weeks. The program includes options for lunch, guided tours, or both, with reservations required.
