Santa Fe Penitentiary Service recruits 453 new agents
The Santa Fe Provincial Penitentiary Service has incorporated 453 new agents following the completion of a six-month initial training program. The graduates, comprising Promotion No. 64 of Sub-assistants, include 232 women and 221 men.
These agents are specifically trained to serve in high-profile penitentiary units across the province. The recruitment aims to strengthen the prison system's resources and support the provincial security plan, which has reportedly added over 1,300 penitentiary places during its execution.
During the graduation ceremony, Minister of Justice and Security Pablo Cococcioni emphasized that the role is “hard and challenging” and noted the institution's importance in the fight against organized crime. Secretary of Penal Affairs Lucía Masneri added that the new personnel are essential to the province's broader security strategy.
