Santa Fe police investigate discovery of fetus in waste container

A fetus was discovered inside a waste container on Saavedra street in Santa Fe, Argentina, on Thursday afternoon. The remains, estimated to be approximately three months of gestation, were found inside a bag placed within a box.

The discovery was made around 5:00 PM by two individuals collecting cardboard. They alerted the police, and the Investigation Police (PDI) took charge of the scene, which was cordoned off to preserve evidence.

Investigators are reviewing security camera footage from the area to identify those responsible. A local resident reported that footage might show a couple walking with a cart stopping at the container, with one person leaving a box behind. However, due to limited video quality, the identities of the individuals in the footage have not yet been established.
