Argentina provinces implement security and technology training measures

Various Argentine provinces are implementing measures to strengthen public security and administrative efficiency. In Buenos Aires, the city government added 600 new police officers through the NICE program, which recruits experienced personnel from federal or provincial forces. Chief of Government Jorge Macri noted that since December 2023, over 6,800 agents have been incorporated, contributing to a reported 70% decrease in homicides in vulnerable neighborhoods.

In Santa Fe, the provincial government is addressing security through personnel expansion. Over 240 retired police officers have applied to rejoin the force, motivated by increased income. Additionally, the province has incorporated 453 new prison officers specifically trained for high-profile units to support new correctional infrastructure.

Other regional efforts include cybersecurity training in Neuquén to combat digital crimes and artificial intelligence workshops in Chaco aimed at modernizing public management and administrative processes.
