Santa Fe Province Launches Tax Debt Payment Plan

The Santa Fe provincial government has opened a Special Payment Plan to let taxpayers regularise overdue taxes in up to 36 interest‑free or subsidised installments. In its first month more than 9,500 individuals, businesses and families enrolled, with the majority opting for Plan A, aimed at small‑ and medium‑size contributors and families owning up to two properties or vehicles. 7,104 applications under Plan A covered vehicle licence fees, property taxes and gross‑income tax, while Plan B, for those with more than two assets, received 2,354 applications.

A dedicated scheme also assists providers of services for people with disabilities, offering zero‑interest terms; five such providers signed up in the inaugural month. Minister of Economy Pablo Olivares said the measure “is part of a broader strategy to reduce the tax burden and support productive sectors, as well as families who could not meet their obligations because of the macro‑economic slowdown.”

The programme is accessed through the provincial citizen‑services portal, where users generate a debt liquidation, select a repayment plan and submit a sworn statement before receiving the first payment schedule.
