Santa Fe province pays $7.7 bn 'Asistencia Perfecta' incentive to 63,000 teachers

On Wednesday 24 June, the government of Argentina’s Santa Fe province deposited the monthly “Asistencia Perfecta” incentive for the May period. A total of 63,499 public‑ and private‑sector school workers – including teachers, directors, secretaries, aides and assistants – received the payment.

The program awards higher amounts to staff with perfect attendance and reduced amounts to those with a single absence. Directives and supervisors received 210,156 ARS for zero absences (105,078 ARS for one absence); full‑time teachers earned 157,618 ARS (78,809 ARS for one absence); teachers up to 352 points received 105,077 ARS (52,539 ARS for one absence); and hourly lecturers earned 8,758 ARS (4,379 ARS) or 7,007 ARS (3,503 ARS) depending on level. The total outlay exceeds 7.7 billion Argentine pesos.

“Asistencia Perfecta” was created as a fiscal‑saving measure and an incentive to curb high absenteeism in schools, aiming to improve attendance and education quality across the province.
