Argentina rolls out tax relief and funding measures in multiple provinces

The Santa Fe provincial government entered the final week of its Special Payment Plan, allowing taxpayers to regularise provincial tax debts in up to 36 interest‑free installments. More than 22,000 individuals and businesses have joined, and the enrolment deadline is 31 July.

In the neighbouring Santa province, the 2026 Tax Amnesty campaign concluded on 31 July, with dozens of residents paying outstanding municipal taxes to support local services.

The Buenos Ayres provincial administration suspended the MESA school‑food program until 31 January 2027, redirecting resources to the regular Service Alimentario Escolar (SAE). It also authorised the use of surplus SAE funds to settle pending supplier invoices for the MESA programme from March and April 2026.

Misiones province issued a decree excluding capital‑market operations and foreign‑currency account transfers from gross‑income‑tax retentions, extending previous exemptions for virtual‑wallet transactions.

At the national level, Senator Marcelo Lewandowski presented a bill to suspend fiscal executions, bank‑account embargos and other precautionary measures against micro, small and medium enterprises for one year, also offering a debt‑regularisation regime.

San Luis province opened enrolment for the Chau Garrafa programme, providing interest‑free provincial loans of up to 600 000 ARS for household gas‑line connections, repayable in ten fixed instalments, with applications accepted until 31 December.
