Santa Maria da Feira celebrates successful 30th Viagem Medieval

The 30th edition of the Viagem Medieval event in Santa Maria da Feira has concluded, with organizers describing the milestone anniversary as an "absolute success." The event, one of Portugal's largest historical reenactments, provided a significant boost to the local economy, benefiting commerce and the restaurant sector through high visitor turnout.

Amadeu Albergaria, the Mayor of Santa Maria da Feira, credited the success to the collaborative efforts of the Municipal Chamber, the municipal company Feira Viva, and the Federation of Collectivities. The commemorative programming included major performances such as "O Discurso do Rei," "Honra e Destino," and "Afonso Henriques – O Rei Antes do Reino," which drew thousands of spectators to the city's medieval-themed setting.
