Santander and Antioquia ready over 34,000 students for Colombia's Saber 11 exam

The education departments of Santander and Antioquia are preparing thousands of students for the national Saber 11 exam. Santander will have more than 7,800 eleventh‑grade students sit the test after a free preparation programme that included diagnostics, intensive training and teacher formation, benefiting a total of 16,727 students in grades ten and eleven. Governor Juvenal Díaz Mateus and the regional education secretary met with the newly appointed national education minister to discuss infrastructure, school feeding and funding needs.

In Antioquia, more than 27,000 students from all 116 municipalities will take the exam, with 4,247 participants receiving support through the "Semestre 0" initiative aimed at improving performance. The department seeks to raise the proportion of schools advancing in Saber 11 rankings during the current four‑year plan.
