Santander expands educational scholarship programs in Mexico

Santander has announced several educational support initiatives in Mexico. The bank is launching the Santander – Media Manutención 2026 program, which will provide 125 scholarships of 4,500 pesos each to students enrolled in technical, undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at public or private institutions. Registration for this program occurs in two phases between August and October 2026.

Additionally, the bank highlighted the results of its “Tuiio te acompaña” program, which provides continuous financing to the children of Tuiio clients to ensure they complete their university studies. In 2026, the program received 1,069 applications for 25 available scholarships, marking a 25% increase in participation from the previous year. These scholarships last an average of 2.9 years and can be used for tuition, materials, transport, and professional training.

Felipe García Asencio, Director General of Grupo Financiero Santander México, stated that the institution aims to deliver more than 250,000 various types of scholarships in Mexico this year to promote social mobility and academic development.
