Santander revamps Unlimited credit card to target Brazil's high‑income market

Santander has overhauled its Unlimited credit card, shifting it from a niche Black‑type offering to a leading product for affluent Brazilian consumers. The bank redesigned the points‑earning structure, introduced tiered levels within Santander Rewards, expanded VIP lounge access, and integrated the card into the broader Esfera ecosystem.

A key feature is an aggressive conversion rate for Avios miles, allowing cardholders to earn mileage equivalents far above market norms. The Unlimited now generates more points per dollar than most competing premium cards and does not award points through Livelo. Eligibility focuses on customers with a monthly income above R$30,000, significant credit usage, and, for the highest tier, a net worth exceeding R$5 million. Credit limits can exceed R$80,000 for qualified users.

The redesign positions Santander Unlimited as a versatile tool for high spenders who travel frequently, offering mileage generation, bonus transfers, and strong purchasing power, while competing directly with Brazil’s most exclusive credit cards.
