Santiago hosts first Cibao Moon Festival to celebrate Chinese culture

The first Cibao Moon Festival was held at Parque Central in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. Organized by the Jade Pro Chinese Community Foundation in coordination with the local Chinese colony and the Santiago mayor's office, the event celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival and the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The ceremony was attended by Santiago Mayor Ulises Rodríguez and the Chinese Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Chen Luning. Organizers noted that the festival aimed to strengthen cultural ties and friendship between the Chinese and Dominican peoples, highlighting the historical and economic contributions of the Chinese community in the region over the last century.
