Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games unveil official anthem and competition schedule
The Organizing Committee of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games released the official theme song "Corazón de Fiesta," performed by the Dominican group Ilegales. The track, written by Vladimir Dotel and produced by Antonio González, was accompanied by a vibrant music video filmed at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium, the venue for the opening ceremony on July 24. A dance challenge based on the song’s choreography was also launched to engage athletes and fans across the region.
The Games’ official competition calendar runs from July 20 to August 8, featuring more than 40 sports disciplines. Early events begin with water polo on July 20‑23, followed by team sports such as baseball, football, basketball, handball, rugby sevens, volleyball, and others. Individual sports—including swimming, athletics, cycling, rowing, gymnastics, and e‑sports—are scheduled throughout late July, with semifinals and finals for team events occurring from August 1‑7. The program concludes with the closing ceremony on August 8.
