Santo Domingo 2026 Games launch includes chess mural donation, ticket sales

The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) and the Dominican Chess Federation (FDA) delivered a modern chess mural board to the República de Panamá Primary School in Santo Domingo Este. The donation, requested by school director Rafael De León, was presented by FIDE Master Braulio Ramírez, who emphasized the board’s role in enhancing students’ concentration, problem‑solving and visual memory as part of a broader "sport‑science" programme.

The organizing committee of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo announced that tickets for the opening ceremony will go on sale on 4 June. General manager Gabriel Alma of UEPA Tickets said the single‑price tickets cost RD$1,500 and will be sold exclusively through the uepatickets.com platform. Sales for the various sport competitions will begin on 11 June, with prices ranging from RD$200 to RD$800, using the same secure online system.
