São Paulo authorities investigate multiple deaths and disappearances

Authorities in São Paulo are investigating several recent deaths and disappearances. In Guarujá, the body of 37-year-old app driver Andre Rodrigues Couto was found at Mar Casado Beach. He had been missing since September 29 after informing his family he was taking a private trip to the coast. The case is being treated as a suspicious death.

In a separate matter, the body of farm manager Sérgio Carvalho de Souza was located in the Montalvão River near Santo Expedito. His vehicle was found submerged in the water following a search operation involving the Civil Police, Military Police, and aerial support. Souza had been missing since October 1.

Additionally, the Civil Police have addressed social media theories regarding a potential serial killer following the discovery of five bodies found in bags or blankets across different regions of São Paulo between September 5 and October 2. Investigators stated there is currently no evidence linking these homicides.
