Santos Tour Down Under announces festival expansion and media partnership

The Santos Tour Down Under is introducing 11 free Start/Finish Line Festivals across South Australia for its upcoming January event. These festivals, organized in collaboration with local councils, will feature live entertainment, local food, kids’ activities, and dedicated cycling zones at every stage start and finish location.

To enhance the spectator experience, the event will offer roaming cameras for closer views of the peloton, mascot races, and improved amenities such as increased seating, shaded areas, and valet services for cyclists. The nine-day Santos Festival of Cycling will run from January 16 to January 24, with the City of Adelaide Tour Village serving as the central hub.

Additionally, Gravity Media has secured a four-year partnership extension with the South Australian Tourism Commission to provide broadcast production. The company will deliver over 50 hours of live coverage to 190 territories worldwide. The upcoming event is set to feature concurrent men’s and women’s races, marking a significant milestone in cycling history.
