Santos Tour Down Under event developments
Overview
The Santos Tour Down Under is expanding its scope and media presence for the upcoming January event. The Seven Network and 7plus have secured a multi-year agreement to serve as the exclusive domestic broadcasters, providing live coverage of both the men’s and women’s races across linear channels and streaming platforms.
The upcoming edition is noted as a historic milestone, as it will be the first time the men’s and women’s races are staged over the same distance and on the same days. To support this, Seven will utilize dedicated commentary teams and aerial coverage to manage the overlapping schedules.
In addition to broadcasting rights, the event is introducing 11 free Start/Finish Line Festivals across South Australia, featuring live entertainment and local food. Gravity Media has also extended its partnership with the South Australian Tourism Commission for four years to provide over 50 hours of live production to 190 territories worldwide.
