European Companies Accelerate Share Buybacks in July 2026
Several listed European firms reported share‑repurchase activity in July 2026. Sirma Group JSC bought 6,778 of its own shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange for a total of €5,179.20 at an average price of €0.7641 per share. Siemens Healthineers AG repurchased 78,345 shares between 20 July and 26 July, part of a programme that has so far bought 2,676,093 shares at weighted‑average prices around €34‑35 per share on Xetra.
SAP SE launched the second tranche of its buy‑back programme, authorising purchases of up to €2.6 billion (about 1.5 % of capital) and targeting up to 18.5 million shares. Transactions are to be executed on Xetra from 27 July 2026 through 27 January 2027, with a pause in December 2026. Deutsche Post AG disclosed that no shares were bought between 20 July and 24 July, while the overall programme since April 2026 totals 5,115,557 shares. adidas AG’s second tranche bought 1,380,101 shares between 20 July and 24 July across several venues (Xetra, Turquoise, Cboe) at average prices near €170‑180 per share.
JP Morgan Chase & Co. kept its rating on SAP SE at “Neutral” with a €175 target, citing a solid cloud‑contract backlog but noting that AI‑related revenue remains uncertain.
