SAPASA removes 40 tons of sediment from Ángulo Dam

SAPASA has removed more than 40 tons of sediment from the Ángulo Dam to mitigate flood risks in Atizapán during the rainy season. The operation, announced by Mayor Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, was conducted in coordination with the Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM) and Operagua of Cuautitlán Izcalli.

Work crews cleared traps and floodgates and cleaned the regulator basin, removing mud, branches, and debris that obstructed water flow. These efforts are part of a broader program to clean and desilt rivers and ravines throughout the municipality to prevent overflows and protect vulnerable populations.
