Vice President Sara Duterte has denied allegations made by dismissed police corporal Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., who claims to have delivered over P2 billion in cash to her on more than 20 occasions. Gracioso, a former security aide to ex-House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, stated in a sworn affidavit to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) that he delivered suitcases containing between P20 million and P50 million at a time to Duterte in various locations, including Metro Manila and Davao.

Gracioso further alleged that cash deliveries were also made to former President Rodrigo Duterte and Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte. The NBI is currently investigating these claims and has reportedly conducted a polygraph test on Gracioso.

Duterte dismissed the allegations as a “media stunt” designed to revive a failing impeachment attempt against her. She stated that she does not know Gracioso and has never received money from him. In response, the Presidential Communications Office urged the Vice President to provide evidence to support her denials. Separately, Duterte has characterized the ongoing impeachment proceedings as a political spectacle, noting that her legal team will handle her representation.
