Sarah Kellen testifies to House Oversight Committee on years of abuse by Jeffrey Epstein

Sarah Kellen, a 47‑year‑old former personal assistant to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, appeared before the U.S. House Oversight Committee and alleged that she was sexually and psychologically abused by Epstein for more than a decade. In her prepared statement she said Epstein groomed, controlled, and “gaslit” her, forcing her to submit to repeated sexual assault—including a violent choking and rape in Palm Beach—in exchange for payment.

Kellen described her isolation at the time, noting she had no family, money, or education and felt she had no alternative but to stay. She also said she was one of four women named as potential co‑conspirators in a 2007 non‑prosecution agreement with federal prosecutors, a fact she learned only after the deal became public. She claimed law‑enforcement officials never interviewed her or considered her side, and she continues to suffer from depression, anxiety and PTSD. The testimony is part of the committee’s broader inquiry into how the federal government handled investigations of Epstein’s crimes and his connections to powerful figures.
