Sarah Santaolalla to host own program on La Séptima

Journalist Sarah Santaolalla has signed with the new television channel La Séptima to host her own program. The move marks a significant shift for Santaolalla, who has previously worked as a commentator and current affairs analyst for RTVE.

La Séptima, promoted by audiovisual producer José Miguel Contreras, is scheduled to begin broadcasting on November 5. The channel aims to build a diverse programming lineup by recruiting personalities from various sectors of television, radio, and news. Santaolalla’s new format is currently in preparation and is intended to serve as a meeting point for different profiles and personalities.

Contreras noted that discussions regarding this collaboration have been ongoing since the spring of 2024. While Santaolalla has a history with RTVE, there is currently no general exclusivity policy for professionals associated with La Séptima, meaning her involvement may be handled on an individual basis.
