Sarajevo faces electricity and water supply disruptions

Residents in Sarajevo and surrounding areas are facing significant utility disruptions involving both electricity and water supplies.

Planned maintenance on energy facilities will cause temporary electricity outages on Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1. Affected neighborhoods include Dobrinja, Alipašino Polje, Sokolović-Kolonija, and several others. Authorities recommend that citizens protect electronic devices and prepare essential supplies during these scheduled windows.

Simultaneously, KJKP Vodovod i kanalizacija Sarajevo has announced water supply reductions due to increased turbidity at the Vrelo Crnil source and low output at the Vrelo Mošćanice source. Areas such as Vratnik, Obhodža, and Sarajevskih gazija will experience daytime shutdowns from 11:00 to 16:00 and nighttime shutdowns from 01:00 to 05:00. These measures are being taken preventatively to protect water quality and public health.
