Sarajevo Fest presents new theatrical productions

The Sarajevo Fest is featuring significant theatrical productions at the National Theatre Sarajevo. The festival includes the play ‘Smrt u Dubrovniku’ (Death in Dubrovnik), written and directed by Petar Pejaković. Based on over 30 testimonies regarding the 1991 bombardment of Dubrovnik, the production explores personal and collective memory and the consequences of war.

Additionally, the festival will host ‘Nigdje sam / Desvanecimiento’, a contemporary drama by Polish director Norbert Rakowski, produced by JK Opole. Inspired by the case of Australian scientist David Goodall, the play examines complex ethical questions surrounding the right to choose, euthanasia, medical progress, and human dignity.
