Sarajevo Film Festival red carpet features film promotion and femicide awareness

The Sarajevo Film Festival red carpet featured notable appearances by actress Barbara Nola and influencer Brankica Raković, both using the platform for distinct purposes.

Barbara Nola attended to promote the new film ‘Pukotina u ledu’ (A Crack in the Ice), directed by Maja Miloš. The film follows a young figure skater in Belgrade and explores themes of love and self-acceptance. Nola portrays the protagonist's mother in the production.

Brankica Raković, editor of the show ‘Oslobođena’, wore a black dress adorned with 11 red roses to draw attention to femicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 11 roses symbolize the annual average number of women killed in the country, according to civil society organizations. Raković stated that the attire was intended to honor victims and highlight the lack of official data regarding femicide cases.
