Sarajevo Film Festival showcases film on Serbian protests

At the 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival, the short film ‘Komšija’, directed by Dan Grabnar, premiered in the student competition section. The film is inspired by student protests and police repression in Serbia, focusing on the personal tension between a policeman and his neighbor following a political conflict.

Director Dan Grabnar stated that the film aims to depict the victims of police violence without being exploitative. The story centers on a policeman, Ivan, who recognizes a young protester from a demonstration as his neighbor the following day, highlighting how political strife enters everyday life.
