Sarawak hosts major tourism and community events in Kuching and Sri Aman
Sarawak is set to host two significant events starting October 30. In Kuching, the Star Karnival Cuti-Cuti Malaysia (SKCCM) 2026 will take place at Plaza Merdeka from October 30 to November 1. Organized by Star Media Group in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, the carnival features over 30 exhibitors offering domestic travel packages, including flight tickets, hotel accommodations, and theme park vouchers. Local Sarawakian attractions such as Mulu National Park and the Sarawak Cultural Village will be highlighted alongside destinations in Sabah, Labuan, and Peninsular Malaysia.
Simultaneously, the Sarawakku Sayang (SKS) 2026 programme will be held at the Sri Aman Sports Complex from October 30 to November 1. Organizers aim to attract 100,000 visitors to the Sri Aman Division. The event will provide public access to 52 government agencies through 170 service counters. Highlights include cultural performances, the Konsert Rakyat, and a traditional costume fun walk. An online contest featuring prizes such as a car and motorcycles is also part of the program.
