Italy hosts various jazz festivals and musical events

Italy is hosting several significant musical events and festivals across various regions. In Sardinia, the 29th edition of the Forma e Poesia nel Jazz festival is taking place in Cagliari from October 1 to 4. This year’s theme, “Analogico futuro,” expands the festival's scope to include international artists such as Yamandu Costa and the Jazzbois, alongside Italian performers like Stefano Di Battista.

Additionally, the Arpe del Mondo International Festival returns to Sardinia for its 12th edition, featuring harpists in Cagliari, Iglesias, Pirri, and Montevecchio. Meanwhile, Alghero has been announced as the host for the European Jazz Conference 2027, following previous editions in cities like Sofia and Cologne.

On the mainland, the Bologna Jazz Festival is scheduled from October 13 to November 8, 2026, featuring artists like Al Di Meola and Kurt Elling. In Bari, the Soundscapes series continues with a performance by Cuban pianist and singer Jany McPherson on October 2. In Lecce, the “Abitare il jazz” project is holding workshops and a final concert by the Fulvio Palese Quartet.
