Sardinia to host major judo competition and cultural heritage events

Sardinia will host two significant regional events in October 2026. The Sardegna Trophy, a major national judo competition, is scheduled for October 3 and 4 in Cagliari. Organized by the FIJLKAM Sardegna Regional Committee, the event is part of the ‘Trofeo Italia di Judo’ circuit for the Esordienti B category (ages 13-14). Over 400 athletes and technicians are expected, with Saturday dedicated to male categories and Sunday to female categories. The competition serves as a critical step for young judokas to earn points for the national ranking list.

Additionally, the 15th edition of the FAI Autumn Days will take place across Sardinia on October 10 and 11, 2026. This initiative opens various sites to the public, including locations that are typically inaccessible or closed. The program spans multiple provinces, including Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro, Oristano, and the Olbia-Tempio area, offering guided visits to historical, industrial, and environmental sites.
