Cultural and sporting events in Sardinia

Overview

Sardinia is hosting various cultural and sporting events throughout late September and October 2026.

In late September, the region features film festivals such as the second Gavoi Film Fest in the Barbagia region, which explores themes of “The changing society: memories, identities, conflicts and new balances.” Additionally, the Visioni Sarde festival highlights young Sardinian cinema through screenings in Escovedu.

In October, the focus shifts to sports and heritage. The Sardegna Trophy, a national judo competition for the Esordienti B category, is scheduled for early October in Cagliari. This is followed by the 15th edition of the FAI Autumn Days, which provides public access to historical, industrial, and environmental sites across multiple provinces, including Cagliari, Sassari, Nuoro, Oristano, and Olbia-Tempio.
