Sarno hosts third round of Italian ACI Karting championship
The third round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship took place at the Circuit International Napoli in Sarno on 27‑28 June. Heat races were run in extreme heat, with 38 manches deciding the finalists from a field of about 330 drivers representing 46 nationalities.
Pole positions were claimed by Daniel Vasile (KZ2) and Cristian Bertuca (KZ2 Master), Federico Rossi (OK‑N), Marco Verde (OK‑N Junior) and other category leaders. The event featured strong showings across all classes, including a surprise win by Norway’s Theo Steindal in MINI Gr 3 and multiple victories in the MINI U10 class.
Argentina’s Martín Saacomo, who competed in the championship’s third round, qualified 59th, fought back through the heats to finish 17th in his race and placed 32nd in the Prefinal A. Polish driver Hugo Hejnar achieved the best Polish result, finishing 9th overall in the Mini U10 category, with several other Polish competitors listed in the final standings.
