Satanic Planet announces new album ‘Dead Deities’

The musical group Satanic Planet has announced a new album titled ‘Dead Deities’, scheduled for release on October 30 via Relapse Records. The band features Lucien Greaves, co-founder of The Satanic Temple, alongside Dave Lombardo, Luke Henshaw, and Justin Pearson.

The album is described as a blend of industrial noise, electronics, and extreme music that addresses themes of Christian nationalism, authoritarianism, and bodily autonomy. The group has released the first single, ‘Sam Alito’s Mom’, which references Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and his role in the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Lucien Greaves noted that the track relates to The Satanic Temple’s efforts to preserve reproductive rights, including the opening of abortion clinics. The group intends to use legal action to establish religious freedom regarding the shipment of abortion pharmaceuticals in the United States.
