Satanic Planet releases ‘Church Burning’ music video

Satanic Planet, an experimental project featuring Dave Lombardo (formerly of Slayer) and Justin Pearson (The Locust), has released a music video for the single ‘Church Burning’. The track is part of their upcoming album, ‘Dead Deities’, which is scheduled for release on October 30 via Relapse Records.

Lucien Greaves, co-founder of The Satanic Temple and a member of the band, stated that the song addresses the hypocrisy of religious violence. He cited a 2022 incident where The Satanic Temple headquarters in Salem were set on fire as inspiration for the track. The band’s new material is described as a critique of autocracy and Christian nationalism, blending industrial and experimental metal elements.
