Satgas PASTI halts Econext Ventures Indonesia for illegal investment scheme

Indonesia's Satgas PASTI (Task Force for Eradication of Illegal Financial Activities) officially stopped the operations of PT Econext Ventures Indonesia (EVI) after determining the firm was conducting illegal investment activities. The company had solicited public funds by presenting a green‑technology product as a securities‑crowdfunding offering, while claiming it was awaiting approval from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Verification showed EVI lacked any OJK licence for securities crowdfunding, operated outside the permits issued by the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Communication and Digital, and its website was not registered as a recognised electronic system provider.

In response, Satgas PASTI blocked access to EVI’s application and related URLs, coordinated with law‑enforcement agencies for further action, and urged affected investors to report the fraud through official channels. The Association of Crowdfunding Services (ALUDI) also revoked EVI’s membership. The task force warned the public to remain vigilant against high‑return, unlicensed investment offers.
