Satu Mare hosts fifth United Villages traditional event

The fifth edition of the ‘Satele Unite ale Satu Mare’ (United Villages of Satu Mare) event took place on September 26-27, 2026, in Satu Mare County. Initiated by Adrian Felician Cozma, Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, the event focused on celebrating Romanian faith and traditions.

Participants, many dressed in traditional folk costumes, traveled over 80 kilometers using horses and carts. The procession moved through various villages, making stops at churches and monasteries for religious services. A notable feature of the journey was a tricolor flag exceeding 10 meters in length.

The event concluded in Săuca with a patriotic and folkloric performance featuring various artists and choirs, emphasizing the connection between generations and the preservation of local cultural values.
