Cultural and community events in Satu Mare
Overview
Satu Mare County hosted several community-focused events in late September and early October 2026.
On September 26-27, the fifth ‘Satele Unite ale Satu Mare’ (United Villages of Satu Mare) event took place. Initiated by Adrian Felician Cozma, the celebration focused on Romanian faith and traditions. Participants traveled through various villages using horses and carts, stopping at churches and monasteries for religious services. The event featured a tricolor flag exceeding 10 meters in length and concluded in Săuca with patriotic and folkloric performances.
Following this, the Autumn Retro Parade was held in the main square of Satu Mare. Organized by the Romanian Retromobil Club and the Satu Mare Oldtimer Club, the parade showcased a variety of vintage and classic vehicles, including models from Dacia, Opel, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Cadillac. The gathering allowed enthusiasts to exchange technical knowledge regarding vehicle restoration and maintenance.
