Satya Niketan building collapse: PG operators remanded to judicial custody

Sudhanshu and Shubham Tyagi, alleged PG operators, have been remanded to 12 days of judicial custody by the Patiala House Court in connection with a building collapse in Satya Niketan. The incident, which occurred on September 6, involved the collapse of a five-storey building that resulted in the deaths of seven people.

Shubham Tyagi, an advocate at the Patiala House Court, surrendered to the court on September 11 after his anticipatory bail was dismissed. Delhi Police sought judicial custody for both men to continue their investigation and attempt to recover Shubham’s mobile phone.

Other individuals have also been taken into custody. Mahesh Gupta, the son of a building owner, and Sanoj, a labor contractor, were previously remanded to judicial custody following police interrogation.
