Saudi Arabia expands AI investment and digital government capabilities

Saudi Arabia is rapidly expanding its artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure capabilities as part of its Vision 2030 strategy. The World Bank Group’s 2026 report identifies the Kingdom as one of the top 10 global destinations for private AI investment, noting its success in attracting talent and integrating government data through the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

To support this growth, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority has launched an AI Creativity Boot Camp to help content creators integrate generative AI into their workflows while maintaining human oversight and ethical standards. Additionally, Ruanyun Edai Technology has entered a strategic collaboration with Intersect Holding to localize AI education and technology within the Kingdom.

On the governance front, Saudi Arabia’s digital government services have reached an ‘Advanced’ maturity level in the 2026 Digital Experience Maturity Index, with an overall score of 87.06 percent. The Kingdom also ranked second globally in the 2025 GovTech Maturity Index, reflecting significant progress in user-centric digital service delivery.
