Saudi Arabia advances digital transformation through AI partnerships and super app expansion

Naseej for Technology and NEXTWO have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at LEAP 2026 to explore the implementation of AI agents within enterprise environments. The partnership aims to move AI from experimental stages to practical applications, focusing on routine and knowledge-intensive processes to improve operational efficiency. The collaboration intends to use a human-centered model where AI agents assist with research, coordination, and analysis while humans maintain decision-making and judgment.

Separately, Saudi Arabia’s national super app, Tawakkalna, has expanded its digital services to reach over 36 million users, including citizens, residents, and visitors. Developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the platform integrates diverse sectors such as healthcare, judiciary, transport, and telecommunications. Services include medical insurance verification, electronic notarizations, commercial registration inspections, and municipal parking management, serving as a unified gateway for national digital services.
