Saudi Arabia announces new real estate leasing and registration initiatives

Saudi Arabian authorities have announced significant developments in the national real estate sector. The General Authority for State Real Estate has released 10 leasing opportunities for various government entities across the Kingdom. These opportunities include administrative properties for the Public Prosecution in the Eastern Province, a training center for the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Sakaka, and a rehabilitation hospital for the Ministry of Health in Medina.

Other allocations include a warehouse for the Ministry of Sport in Riyadh, administrative headquarters for the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority in Hail, and judicial facilities for the Ministry of Justice in Khaybar and Wadi Al-Far'. Additionally, the Eastern Province Emirate, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs have been assigned specific properties for regional operations.

Simultaneously, the Real Estate General Authority is launching a large-scale in-kind real estate registration project covering 30,640 plots. The registration process, scheduled to run from September 20 to December 24, 2026, will target four main regions: the Eastern Province (16,065 plots), Al-Qassim (9,599 plots), Riyadh (4,972 plots), and Makkah (4 plots). This initiative aims to digitize the sector and resolve historical issues related to overlapping ownership and traditional paper deeds.
