Saudi Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber condemns Houthi aggression, backs Yemen peace push

Saudi Arabia’s envoy to Yemen, Ambassador Mohammed Al Jaber, warned that the Houthi militia has turned Yemen into a pawn for external interests, persisting in escalation and violence instead of pursuing de‑escalation, and thereby worsening the country’s security and humanitarian crisis.

Al Jaber reaffirmed Riyadh’s support for all peace initiatives, backing the UN envoy’s political solution, and pledged continued assistance to open Sana’a airport for commercial flights, enable ships to call at Hodeidah ports, and protect Red Sea commercial shipping from Houthi attacks. He said Saudi Arabia will stay alongside the Yemeni people and the internationally recognised government until Yemen attains security, stability and peace.
