Saudi Arabia executes two individuals in separate murder cases
The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Interior has announced the execution of two separate death sentences in different regions of the Kingdom.
In the Eastern Province, the death penalty for retribution (qisas) was carried out against Majdal bin Ali bin Hussein al-Majdal al-Khalidi. He was convicted of killing Mohammed bin Amer bin Layl al-Khaldi by gunfire. The sentence was upheld by the Supreme Court and implemented following a royal order.
In the Makkah region, the Ministry executed Musab bin Abdullah bin Safar al-Abdali al-Ghamdi. He was sentenced to death for 'ghilah' (premeditated murder) after fatally stabbing his wife, Kholoud bint Mohammed bin Hamdan al-Ghamdi. The execution followed a final court ruling and a royal order.
The Ministry stated that these actions underscore the government's commitment to maintaining security, achieving justice, and enforcing Sharia law against those who violate the rights of others.
