Saudi Arabia expands digital services and AI access

Saudi Arabia is advancing its digital transformation goals through new initiatives in e-government services and artificial intelligence access. The Ministry of Interior has launched a feature on the Absher digital platform that allows citizens to update their national ID photographs online. This service eliminates the need for physical visits to civil affairs service centers or formal ID renewal procedures to change outdated photos.

In a separate move to bolster AI adoption, Adobe has expanded its partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the government-backed AI company Humain. Under this agreement, Saudi citizens will receive 12 months of free access to Adobe’s AI-powered tools. This initiative aims to support the nation’s digital development plans and reduce economic reliance on oil by increasing public familiarity with advanced creative and communication technologies.
