Saudi Arabia is advancing its sports infrastructure development as part of the Vision 2030 objectives, aiming to establish the nation as a primary destination for major international sporting events.

Key ongoing and upcoming projects include the development of King Fahd Sports City in Riyadh and the completion of the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar, which is expected to be ready next month. The Aramco Stadium will host matches for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and has a capacity of approximately 47,000 spectators. Other major developments include the Jeddah Central Stadium and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya.

In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2034, the Kingdom's plan involves utilizing 15 stadiums across five major cities, consisting of 11 new constructions and the upgrading of four existing venues.
