Saudi Arabia gives Yemen 224 million riyals for salaries

Saudi Arabia has transferred a new payment of 224 million Saudi riyals to the Yemeni government to cover the salaries of state employees. The aid, announced by Saudi ambassador to Yemen and endorsed by the Saudi leadership, is intended to fill the budget gap, stabilize the Yemeni rial, bolster foreign‑exchange reserves and support the delivery of basic services.

Yemeni officials, including the Foreign Minister and members of the Presidential Leadership Council, thanked the Saudi Kingdom for the “generous and brotherly” support, saying the funds will help maintain regular salary payments and improve economic stability for citizens.
