Saudi Arabia homeownership reaches 66.24% amid real estate growth

Saudi Arabia has reached a significant milestone in homeownership, with the national rate rising to 66.24% in 2025. This figure exceeds the annual target of 65% and moves the Kingdom closer to its Saudi Vision 2030 goal of 70%. During 2025, approximately 107,000 housing units and developed land plots were provided to citizens.

Building on this momentum, Cityscape Global 2026 aims to connect homebuyers, investors, developers, and policymakers. The event follows a record-breaking year for the National Housing Company (NHC), which earned a Guinness World Record for the most homes sold at a real estate exhibition during the 2025 edition of the event.

The real estate market is also being expanded by new regulations regarding property ownership by non-Saudis. These implementing regulations clarify the processes for foreign individuals and entities to acquire real estate and property rights, creating clearer pathways for international investment in the Kingdom’s residential sector.
